Storing Märklin in 2005

In 2005, Märklin made something special about their packing

of Limited Editions. 

For instance the Bavarian Mallet Gt 2x4/4,

the Württemberg K and

the Bavarian B VI  KLOPSTOCK

were all delivered in a precious wooden box.

A small picturesque impression of the 37964 (Mallet).

A wooden coffin wrapped in cardboard, sealed with plastic, and the famous grey cover.

On the cover a brass plate... very nifty.

Inside the cover is a black/white picture

of the first released engine with number 5751.

When the soft foam is being removed, the engine shows (right).
