Cochemer Burg (1/14)

In the 1980's I purchased this model kit 

of the Austrian castle 'Falkenstein'.

It was previously integrated

in the mountainous area on my dad's layout (next picture).

Afterwards I placed it on my own layout.

I had the courage to cut the whole thing in two parts. 

As you can see, the tower is removed.

Now, the entrance, originally situated at the back side,

is as new front at the side of the main building.

I created a new, lower tower instead of using the original one,

since  the latter was out of balance because of its height.
