InterModellbau Dortmund 2026
Walking from Parkplats A8 to Eingang West
Friday | 17 April 2026
Eager to see the Anhalter Bahnhof made by Gebhard Reitz - a one and only show - and (again) picking up some spare parts at the Brawa stand, I went to Dortmund this year.
1a. Appointment with Brawa | 10:15
Since the Bremsanlagen from four G10 Güterwagen were missing - although announced in the leagflet, but not released as such with them! - a few weeks ago I ordered via Kundendienst these spare parts.
Two days before the Messe, I received a kind email from Petra Illg, that I could pick the batch up at the Brawa stand in Dortmund.

2. Dis-appointment at the Märklin stand... | 10.52
Although I was given written permission by Mr. Peschel, the photoshoot of only three locomotive models 'out of the showcase' was not allowed during daytime ("too crowded").
Last year, it happened to me last as well.
I didn't want to wait and left the stand, after taking only one picture of the DB 06 002 through the glass.
Just awfull pics, indeed. Absolutely not in my line, since two years ago it was quite another story.
Let's wait untill the real deal runs into my dealer's shop.

3. Coffee brake | 10:57
On the balcony is a small reataurant. This time, even if the Messe was crowded, I could walk straigh to the counter and got my Cappu!
This time it tasted great, together with bread I took with me.

5. Appointment with DIT - Anhalter Bahnhof Berlin | 11.22 - 14.10
Highlight of this day was visiting the Anhalter Bahnhof made by Gebhard Reitz which recently had been purchasedd by DIT Modell.
I had tyhe opportunity to see it shortly after it came from Austria to Germany (and even slept in front of the Porticus).
Great to see it now dressed up and in situ. Even more, since Yannick Bergemann had brought many 'epochenreine' trains to run on the layout.
6. Meeting Rüdiger Funk at Anhalter Bahnhof with a Josef Cramer S 1 | 13.18 - 13.30
While I was staying with Yannick and Julian at the Anhalter Bahnhof, a certain guy named Rüdiger Funk approached me and showed me his Prussian S 1.
This model is a reproduction of the locomotive built by Borsig in 1871 with railway number 133,
as it ran on the Coeln-Mindener-Eisenbahn before the nationalisation in 1879, when the locomotive received the designation S 1.
