How convenient to prevent the Abbey from being completely surrounded by walls.
Once again, this concept appealed to me, because the brass fencing can be placed on a stone base, for both height and attachment.
These 'Neusilber' pillars were also made by AMF.
The gate was also an Adler set (A-9070) that Julian gave me as a gift to experiment with.

2026.1.3 ~ Planing during execution


2026.1.4 ~ NOT this way!
I initially thought I could get away with gluing the gate to the base plate, wedged in by the two pillars.
On second thought, it bothered me that the gate looked lower and disappeared under the paving stones. This really had to be leveled.

A new idea emerged...
It was already certain that a beautiful tree would be planted here. ..

Then I suddenly remembered that I must still have a small bench somewhere that stood around a tree on my father's model railway.

After some 40-ish years, it finally got a new 'old' painting...
