Anhalter Bahnhof Berlin

Gebhard Reitz

The Anhalter Bahnhof Berlin was created by Gebhard Reitz between 1995 and 2020 as an assignment by Dr. Ludwig Faßbender.

In 2025 the entire structure with a surface area of 25 x 6 meters was purchased by DIT Modell.

In December 2025, I was privileged to stay at the new owner's home, where various parts of the Anhalter Bahnhof layout were housed across different rooms.

The Portico or Portikus (the main entrance on the street side) was located in the room where I slept for two nights. I still cherish the memory...

Dortmund Intermodellbau April 17, 2026

A section of the model railway – the main station with part of the forefield – was shown to the public for the first time in April 2026 during the Dortmund Intermodellbau.

Due to its fragility it was for now also for the last time.

Since I had the privilege of joining Julian and Yannick 'behind the red rope' on Friday, I took the following photo report in the hours that followed.

Julian and Yannick gave me a warm welcome when they set their eyes on me.

August 2024 I shot the famous P8 Elberfeld 2403 made by Gebhard Reitz, owned now by a private collector.

Today, this very same purebred Reitz locomotive is back on its native soil.

Where else?!
